COFFEE AND GLITTER EPOXY MUG TUMBLER TUTORIAL!
https://youtu.be/J2OZOAojDpI
Hey, guys, starting with this adorable 18-ounce little mug, I love any smaller mug with handles, so I don't know why. They're adorable got them from Tj Maxx. It was $12.99, so remove the cardboard wrapping and lid. After I prepped it with vinyl sand and let it dry, I painted it with a smoky beige. But looking at the can, it's a nice color, so I did two coats to coat it until fully covered.
So I took a tiny bit of epoxy and smoothed it all on there to add my glitter at the bottom. This is the artistry epoxy, and I was not in the camera shop that great, but you get what I'm doing. So I moved angles, and I'm using this chunky mix glitter. It is coming soon; it should keep it very soon, and I'm so excited to keep an eye out. We'll be doing more sneak peeks and stuff, and we don't have an official launch day or anything, but we are trying as fast as possible to get some glitter and color stuff out for you guys.
I can't tell you how excited I am, so keep an eye out for that. But sprinkling it on, trying to get full coverage on the bottom, I'm going to fade it up towards the top. This mix is the perfect amount of chunky and smaller-cut glitter. It covered well, even though it wasn't wholly gold underneath.
So once that was dry, I did two layers of artistry epoxy. When I didn't even coat this in any spray paint, if I'm doing something where it's one color of glitter, I can get away with not using spray paint or a sealant on the glitter. I like to do the epoxy on the tar part with no glitter first. Then, I'll do the glitter part and keep them separate. It's a little tricky to do, but I don't always love using spray paint when the whole cup is covered in glitter.
And anytime you're using a cup with a Handle, you want to make sure and take extra time on the handle and ensure there are no globs. Also, ensure all spots are present because it's a tricky area to epoxy. Still, if you keep an eye on it, you'll be good. I made the word coffee in this textured bronze color.
I was going with a browner bronzy, and I thought it worked really well with the coffee theme I was trying to do, where you put all your vinyl on the transfer tape and put it on your cup. So I saw kelly From dixie darlings do this, and I was like, why didn't I think about that? So I tried to do it, and I ended up getting some of my letters stuck on the table like right here, the two e's stuck on the table.
And it took me a minute to realize what I did I was peeling it off, and all of a sudden, I realized where's my e's there they were, and I didn't know what to do, so I put the tape back on and peeled them up with this little tool, but that didn't work that great so. So I decided to hand-place them on instead, so here goes the other part.
I love anything to do with coffee. I drink coffee every morning, and most in the afternoon, I like iced mochas. I'm obsessed with it. I did one coffee cup before, but it was a sticker. It wasn't a decal that I had cut out, so I wanted to do something that had to do with coffee, so after that, I did one more layer of epoxy.
And she has done it, and I thought this turned out so cute. As an aid, I love those with handles. There's never enough gold glitter, alwthat's it forank you so watching. I will see you at the next one bye.
