HAMMERED gold Tumbler Tutorial!
https://youtu.be/ugwGW_zOyX4
Hey guys, I'm starting with this cute tumbler. I love the cap on it and the brand hydra flow. I've used many of their cups before. I didn't need to paint it because a candle inspired me with a hammered gold lid, and I wanted to get that texture in my epoxy.
I'm still determining how long I waited. I waited a while and came and hit it with the hammer to give it the kind of dented effect, and I did have to wait a little longer. It was soft and melted back in, but you'll get the right timing and keep hitting it repeatedly. It was exhausting but worth it because this turned out fantastic. I ended up taking it off the turner and hitting it over and over and over all the best I could, making those little dents over the whole cup.
Then the point is to have it set like that. I painted it the hammered metal. I was looking for a copper color, but couldn't find it. So it has that texture inside; then you're going to coat it with more epoxy. The outside is smooth, but underneath, you see that hammered texture, then doing a coat of regular artistry epoxy.
Then it would be cute to cut out some vinyl that says stay golden because it's gold. I couldn't think of any other saying to put on there. I added my decal to the middle and another two layers of the artistry art epoxy. And after that, I did this cup. It was pretty simple, but I love the hammered texture there, and there's much more we can do with this technique. Thank you much for watching. I will see you at the next one bye.
