LEOPARD Print Resin Tray and Coaster Set!
https://youtu.be/DDG0ZpEJQ_c
Hey, guys, I'm doing a train coaster set. I'm starting with a little bit of mixed epoxy. This is the artistry art and tumbler epoxy adding some of my black pigment. We will have this on the site soon, taking that on the little mixing stick, and as you can see, I'm adding little blobs here and there to look like leopard spots on the dry silicone mold.
I used a mold release spray before I did this, so don't worry if you drip or drizzle where you don't want it to. We can clean that up. The same thing happened on the coasters; I wanted two to have half spots and the other two to be spotted in the Middle. Then you're going to let that dry once it is dry. I took some tweezers and cleaned up where there were any little drips or drizzles that I didn't want in there.
I used tape to get up the little teeny tiny ones, mixed up some more epoxy, and used a filter. It's super fine, with gorgeous white silvery glitter. We will put that inside each spot and add the filter to all the spots on the tray and coasters. Then once that was dry, I mixed up more epoxy.
I'm doing a thin layer of clear I wanted these spots to look raised off my colored layer, so we're not filling up the molds. We're doing a thin layer of clear rather than using a heat gun to blow it out and get all the little air bubbles out. A heat gun works well when you're doing silicone molds. A torch works excellently to get surface bubbles, but when working with a little thicker layer in a mold like this, it helps to use a heat gun. Then once that was dry, I mixed up more.
And I'm using this light blush tone pigment paste. I wanted it to be faint, like there's not much pigment paste in there, like a hint of color. Then add that to the tray and coasters, then again with the heat gun, and you can see how it looks not very smooth right now and then once. So I'm done with the heat gun. It's like smooth as glass. Then once that was dry, it was time to pop them out of the molds, and these turquoise morals are like little cake molds. They need this size or flat round ones for coasters. I like these little cake ones.
I'm using this deburring tool from amazon. I link it below. You run it along the sides and smooths that down. It doesn't make it 100 smooth and even, but it works well, especially since this was the back of these.
Then I did my tray set entirely. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you much for watching. Bye Bye.
