DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE SHEETS and FOIL Tumbler Tutorial using SHAPE TAPE!

https://youtu.be/lCZrO8hq6oA Hey guys, I am starting with a prepped tumbler. This is a 20-ounce skinny, and I am just spray painting it pure white this is the flat white from Rustoleum. You want to use flat white, not the blossom white or whatever it is that will yellow your epoxy and make it look not good, so use the flat white but do it all over a white base. Once that was dry, I did two coats of the paint and went in with my artistry epoxy fast set. Again, this is the thick one-to-one formula. It is my fave, and I love it so much, so put that on there so we can move on to our next step. This is the fun part. I cut out a wild and did a square around it. So we're not going to be using the letters but the square around them. I cut it out with my shape tape. If you need it, I will put the size of the cutting settings below for silhouette. I'm not sure what it is for Qriket, because I only have a silhouette. I am weeding out the letters, the square's tacky, and the top layer. Sorry, my shape tape is dirty. I don't know what is on it, but I loved the idea of cutting out the word, not the word itself. So again, remove the sticky and the top layer wherever we don't want. Next, you can use transfer tape. I'm using packing tape. So now we are peeling the sticky and the top layer off the backing. You want to make sure you get the tacky layer. If you don't get the sticky layer, you will be unable to put it in your cup. So it's a little more tricky than working with vinyl because of vinyl. For some reason, I forgot to peel off the back of the d and the middle part of the t, so you'll see that in a minute, but for now, I'm going to stick it on my tumbler. I like to anchor it at the top while standing up and holding it in place. I feel like I end up with a straighter line this way. So I run my hand down the middle and smooth it towards the ends. So we get a nice smooth tape surface, so you'll peel that tape off the top layer. So you can see the middle of the flipped-up. I was going to fold it back down, but I decided to cut it off and do it separately because, yeah, trying to fold it back down would not work. So I cut out that little piece removed the backing, and stuck it on Amazon. So now we have our shape tape on the cup, which is the fun part. I have a little set of nail foils that I got from amazon that was cheap. I picked all the brown, tan, gold, and in that color range. You could do whatever foils you want. You can do whatever colors you like and stick them on randomly. You're not going to make it perfect unless you want perfect lines, triangles, or anything. I intentionally wanted it to kind of look random, thrown on there, nothing perfect, nothing like even stripes, nothing, none of that, completely unexpected is what I was going for, so lay the strip down, press where you want, and rip it off very simple while. I was doing this. I thought this would be such a great idea for kids. If you were doing like some kind of birthday party or like a group project thing with kids, this would be so much fun because it's kind of foolproof once you get the shape tape on there, of course, so if you wanted to help them with the shape, the tape gets that on there let the kids do the foil. I think they would have a blast, and you could cut their name out like this where it's their name in the center. You're foiling around the name. I think that would be so cute and fun for kids. They would get their custom cup, and then you could finish the epoxy. Still, I love all these colors, the snake print, and the leopard. Of course, I love leopards. It's my favorite, the two Different tones of gold. I could not be happier with all of these foils coming together as they did, so it's self-explanatory. That's all we're doing here, laying it down, stealing from it, and engaging in fraud. I promise I'll change, and I'll be yours forever. There are so many possibilities when doing this technique that I'm excited about and need to do more. First, you want to ensure that all sticky spots are covered with foil. Then if you have little spots that don't look nice and clean, go in with a razor or scissors to make them look nice. I'm pretty sure my kids will want to do this. I'm obsessed with leopard print and gold. I may keep this cup for myself because I love it so much. I hope you guys like it too. I'll see you guys in the next one.
