NEON Aztec Tumbler Tutorial!
Hey, guys starting with a 32-ounce tapered cup, I already prepped it with vinyl. It's ready for paint, spray painting it the rust-oleum flat white, then once that was dry, I went in with the rust-oleum fluorescent pink. I wanted to give it a white base underneath, so this pink would pop. I gave it two or three coats with this fluorescent paint; you can see how crazy bright it is.
I'm going on top with this glitter. It changed color. If you want that neon to pop, you could do this without glitter or a finer Glitter, but I love the sparkle. Once that was dry, I did one layer of artistry epoxy.
I went in with this rust-oleum beige color, which is pretty. I'm obsessed with this color; I've used it several times. Then once that was dry, take acetone to wipe off some of the paint. I used to sand off the paint, but it was tough. I'm glad you guys told me about this acetone trick. It works better and faster.
I made random little spots around the edges to make it look a little worn, then I did another coat of epoxy, and after that, I added these little decals I thought would be cute little Aztec style. I pieced them together as I wanted a bunch of black ones with a teal one every once in a while.
Then I use my transfer tape to line them up and make them all in a straight row, then line it up and, using the little scraper tool, peel off the transfer tape. I wanted these to go only on where the tape is and not on the glitter part, and then alI was alternating the arrows going up on one stripe, and then the next stripe they were going down, and I kept going all the way around the cup.
Then one final coat of artisan epoxy to finish this cup, and I am obsessed with how it turned out. I love the beige color with the bright pop of neon underneath, but it still has the sparkle and that little touch of the Aztec design, and that's it for this video. Thank you guys much for watching. I will see you at the next one. Bye.
