PEARL GEODE TUMBLER TUTORIAL!

Hey guys, I'm starting with a prepped cup and using just black and white spray paint to spray on like an ombre black and white situation, so the black I'm doing the bottom third of the cup, then the white on the upper two-thirds. You can see the way that I'm angling the spray paint. It gives it that ombre effect than doing my first layer of epoxy. This is the artistry art and tumbler epoxy. Somehow I lost the video of me applying the epoxy, but there it is, which was when it was 108 degrees.
It was hot, and the epoxy worked great, so I took some mod podge once it was dry. Again, a little paintbrush. I'm dabbing it on in little sections wherever I want to put this glitter, a glitter flake. I was testing this out. I believe this is a bit more significant than the one I currently have, so I just sprinkled that on and just kind of random patterns on the white part.
I'm adding just these little glitters. I got these from amazon. Any white iridescent chunky glitter will do. This was when I did not have my glitters, so I'm just sprinkling that on the side where I put the glitter flakes.
Then I took some iridescent mica powder and alcohol in a little spray bottle, and I was spraying it, but it got clogged, so I ended up just going in with this little dropper, and it worked well. But, of course, the heat had to do with drying so quickly, which is why it looked so cool. So you want to try this technique, I heat cup, like putting it in front of a heater or something for a few minutes. Still, the alcohol dries and dissipates, and you're left with this lovely shine from the mica. It gave it such an iridescent effect.
I wanted to seal that, so I'm using the matte clear spray paint from rust-oleum. Then once I was dry, I went in with a bit of mod podge and some gold flake, and again, this was before I had mine. I'm just talking between black and white, and I wanted to do Random little sections. I didn't want it to be like an even nice line, so I randomly placed this on there, making it chunky and random.
I did three layers of epoxy to finish this cup because the glitter was so chunky, but here it is finished. It turned out pretty. I love the iridescent effect. Let me know what you think. Bye.
