Putting the "ARTISTRY" Into Artistry Epoxy
https://youtu.be/OnOSgA-BBVw
Hey guys, this is the first time I've never had something like this. Let me know if you like this idea. It was a lot of fun to do this. This is my studs and swirls pumpkin tumbler. She turned out pretty. I am obsessed with this, the black and gold with the studs. I did another little pumpkin on the bottom. This one has like cool twist lid. You could drink hot coffee in there and drink from the cover, and you don't have to worry about touching the epoxy.
I love this vibe. I'm digging this. I love the whole fall thing; I had to do an entire fall setup behind me which is fun and exciting. Everyone loves fall. It's cozy and warm, you get to do all the candles, its seasons are changing, and it's love. This is everybody's favorite season. If your favorite season is not falling, leave it in the comments below. Tell me if you want to know all the steps I did to get this studs and swirls pumpkin tumbler. Let's get into the tutorial.
Starting with this adorable cup is from ross. It was only $6.99, but I love the lid on it; it's like a more coffee kind of cup where it kind of twists open, taking off the sticker and the lid, and then I went and prepped this cup now spray painting it the flat black from rust-olethen once that was dry I mixed up some of my artistry epoxy this is the regular tumbler and art Epoxy then spreading that on there in a nice thin layer making sure I get the whole thing well covered and all even.
Then once I cured that, I found these little studs at Michael's. I thought they were pretty. They have little foam stickers on the back. I took those off, and I'm using this quick-hold glue. This glue worked well, but it was goopy. I wonder if mine's old, but it didn't work the best any kind of little bead glass kind of glue should work for this. I would suggest not doing a super glue or anything like that because those tend to dry cloudy you want something that's going to dry clear it might take a bit longer to dry, but it's going to be worth it because you're not going to have those like whitish cloudy marks.
To the bottom of the hand, place them evenly around the base. I have this gold vinyl that I did, a pumpkin, and swirls. This I made over the app is what I always use to make all my decals and everything weeding that out. I usually use the one that's a little more like rose gold in tone, but this one matched the studs well.
I used the more yellow-toned gold and my masking tape to put this on the cup. I am still looking for a good transfer tape. If you have a good transfer tape that you use, leave it in the comments. I have a list I'm making to get, but I've tried a couple, and I need something else. I used masking tape, but I put the pumpkin in the center. This pumpkin was cute because it had the little curlicue kind of vine coming off of it that matched with these swirls. This pumpkin gave me Cinderella vibes, like the pumpkin stagecoach thing, but yet it's more fall and more elegant, these swirly pumpkin vibes, I'm all about it.
Placing one of the big swirls on the top left corner and then the other one on the bottom right corner, and I wanted these swirls to be pretty big. That way, you can still see them wrapping around from the back of the cup. Then add another cute little pumpkin on the bottom for fun, add another layer of epoxy, add another layer of my artistry art, and tumbler epoxy. Of course, when working with anything said to them, cup-like these studs, you want to be careful when putting epoxy on them.
You want to make sure you're not getting too much. You're going all the way in between and around and on top because these are a metal there the epoxy is going to want to repel off of them you're going to want to like babysit this.
I went back in another 10-20 minutes after I applied this and rubbed all the epoxy over it again, and it was sticking all over it. Once I cured that, I did two more layers of the artistry epoxy on top to finish this cup, and here she is all done. I love how this turned out. It is gorgeous and glamorous and gives you that fall vibes, but it's not, you know, typical orange pumpkin Vibes. It's pretty. Thank you guys much for watching. Stay tuned for my day two tomorrow. See you at the next one. Bye.
