Winter WONDERLAND Peek-a-boo Tumbler Tutorial!
https://youtu.be/vI8KiEfdVRo
Hey, guys! Today is my winter style. I love the color. I love everything about it. It turned out cute—a little pinecone on the bottom. I was going back and forth between doing gold or these brown pinecones, and I think the brown turned out perfect. I wouldn't change anything about this tumbler. I seriously love it.
I wanted to do a little woodsy one, and I did go all out for the gift basket. Make sure you check that out at the end and see how I style the gift basket and all the things I pair with it because it is such a cute gift, like I'm gifting it to me. If I'm being honest, like that one, I'm like, that's my perfect gift. I'm giving it to myself. Is that a thing now? So let's get into the tutorial, and don't forget to check out tomorrow for day seven. All right, see you then. Bye. Okay, starting with this cup, I think it's from Ross, but it's like the standard shape for $10.99.
So, like always, please take off the lid, stickers, or packaging, then prep with them. Then I will paint this deep forest dark green shade from rust-ileum. It's such a gorgeous color, but we'll cover it with glitter. So we'll then, once that was dry, I mixed up a little bit of my artistry epoxy and spread me on a really thin layer to get the glitter to stick. Then I'm using "evergreen" from my Christmas collection. This is a custom mix. It's small and medium. There are no chunks in there, but it's this gorgeous green and teal mixed, and I think this would be the perfect shade for my wintery pine tree-looking cups.
I did a complete full coverage on the whole cup and the bottom. After that was dry, I did my first entire layer of the artistry epoxy. Since we're going directly over glitter, it will be a little bit more than a regular layer, but you want to get it all in between the glitter and coat the entire cup. Then I did two more layers after that first one. We have a really good coat, and it's nice and smooth for our decals and peekaboo. Next, I cut out these little pine needles from, I believe, the over-app. I liked how these looked a little more natural; they weren't perfect cartoony, and I cut those out. It doesn't matter what vinyl it is. You use it since we're doing a peekaboo. Finally, I had this random red color.
I used that, and then I started laying them on randomly at the top and bottom, alternating with two little twigs and me with one, and these were a little tricky since they were a more natural look and weren't entirely pieced together. So that's what it looked like, and I was happy with that—then took satin heirloom white from rust-ileum. It's a beautiful cream shade, and I thought this look would be nice with cream instead of a white coating that it's windy. When I was doing this, I had to do two Coats because you can see it's blowing everywhere and not going on the cup as much.
After two dry coats, I peeled off my decals, which is the excellent part about doing a peekaboo. It's much fun to peel this and see the glitter underneath it. Of course, this wasn't easy because it was the more natural shape. Like I said, Ind. It didn't peel off all in one pole because it's disconnected here and there. Still, it didn't take me too long now. I will speed up the rest of it because it is a process al don't mind the broken thumbnail; I had no, then I added another layer of epoxy.
Then it was time to add the decals. These things appealed to me more than simply putting the wonderland at the bottom. Then I added two more layers of epoxy to finish my winter wonderland cup, and then I did it, took it off the turner, and put on the lid, and I am seriously obsessed with this one. It is my favorite of the Christmas ones. I might keep this one and use it.
I can't get enough of it. I don't know what it is about, but I'm in love. Now to do this asap. I have my cup. I found this pine forest hand ap that smells good. Then I discovered these tiny hazelnut waffle rolls with the matching print for $4.99. this was like a little room spray, but it was like a woodsy green, which is what it's called, and it smells perfect as well, and I thought that would be a cute little extra touch. And, of course, a little candle in white cashmere and pear, but it's got like the little pinecones and twigs in there and that was $12.99.
Then I found this blanket, which is pretty. I love blankets like this; they've got little ones on the bottom. Then I found these two gift baskets. It was a set of two of them that are such cute baskets, for $19.99, not a bad price. Then I layered the blanket first with the tassels hanging off the side. Next, I had this tissue paper that matched the basket. I added that in the bottom, then added our waffle rolls, the cup, the hand ap, and the candle in the room spray, and I'm obsessed with how this turned out. It is such a gorgeous gift. I love how it's all themed together. It goes perfectly. Don't forget to tune in for the next one. Bye.
