THERMOS Tumbler Set Tutorial!

THERMOS Tumbler Set Tutorial!

https://youtu.be/gN62-8Ov_fM Hey, guys! Today I did a cute little set. I follow the custom cactus on Instagram. She does the most beautiful tumblers what she'll do. She'll do the same style on several sizes of tumblers, which looks cute. I had the idea to do a similar thing, but instead of doing other instead of making the same pattern on different style tumblers, I'm doing the same tumbler and different designs. So I got this set, and I did two Different styles, but they match, and they turned out cute these are wrapping paper with glitter on them. Shout out to the custom cactus for inspiring these. If you need to follow her, follow her. She has gorgeous stuff, and I don't know what it is about a matching set that makes me happy inside, but I love it. Hopefully, you guys love it, too, and let's get into the tutorial. Remember to stay tuned for tomorrow for day six. I found this set at Costco for a reasonable price. I don't exactly remember how much it was, but it wasn't too expensive, but I loved that it was a matching set, but they were different colors. It would be perfect for my little wrapping paper and glitter set that I wanted to take out of the package and remove the lid. Then I prepped them with mattify; I didn't need to paint since we covered paper. I found these two adorable prints at Walmart, and the quality of this wrapping paper was good. But, of course, you don't want to use something thin, you know what I mean, like the wrapping paper that rips when you're holding a gift. I was surprised by the quality of this wrapping paper, but I measured and cut them. I like the contrast between the gray and the cream and then the two different styles, the little trees and then the holiday kind of little words. Now I'm measuring for the length and leaving excess at the bottom. I can wrap it around the bottom of the cup. Then I cut the excess off the side. I didn't want too much hanging over there. You want it overlapping a little bit though you don't have any space where there's no wrapping paper, starting with some mod podge. I'm spreading it on like a third of the cup and laying it down. You want to do the cup at one time. So it can start to dry quickly. You want to work fast and work section by section, rolling it on and letting it stick as you go. Then cut off the top excess, and then on the bottom, I created little slits that would readily lay down flat and wrap around the bottom of the cup. Then add more mod podge, and you can see how it lays each piece down and overlap the other so that it lays nice and flat on the bottom, and there's still a hole in the center. Still, we are going to cover that in glitter anyways, then go over it all with more mod podge, smooth it on there, get out any wrinkles that you can, and press everything nice and soft, repeating on the other cup the same. Then I went a little too hard while rubbing it and rubbed a little bit of the wrapping paper off. I'll fix this later but be careful when you're doing that, and don't let it rip as I did. I mixed artistry epoxy. I split it between two cups. This is balsam and tinsel. The contrast between green and gold on these two cups would be pretty. I'm pouring glitters, and I stir it. Do you want it to be a little chunky? Doing the same with tinsel smoothing all around the bottom and the bottom-like quarter of the cup, and then I'm going to spread it towards the top of the cup and let it fade as it goes. I'm doing the same thing with the green or cream cup and the green glitter. It's harder to do full coverage with a lighter base and a darker color glitter. I did two layers on these cups because I needed more coverage. However, it's still beautiful and acceptable to know that you will have to work a little more complicated with it. If you want to do it all in one step, I will do a darker base, and a lighter color glitter like the other cup, or even a matching color would be good too. Then I let that dry, and I add the second layer. I took this gray acrylic paint, but I needed a different tone. Once I was happy with that color, I took a paintbrush and smudged it. And some designs you wouldn't be able to do this with, but this one hit it well. I was impressed with myself then once that was all dry or doing my first layer of the artistry epoxy. Then I did two more layers because this was a chunky glitter and because I layered it twice, especially on the green cup, I had a little more Chunkiness. So I needed more layers, but these were done after that. I love how they turned out. You could add a name, quotes, or something on them, but they were pretty as they were, l, a little contrasting. They pair beautifully, and they're very festive and fun. Now let's package these for a gift. I would take the two cups of this little wire basket I found at the dollar store, and I have had a couple. They are nice to have on hand, putting these little kind of paper shreds in there, then I set them there. I needed to figure out how else to display them. I could have created something more creative if I had more time. Still, I did not. I decided to take this sparkly cream ribbon and tie that around and then I did that with a simple package. Thank you guys much for watching.
