DECONSTRUCTED PLAID TUMBLER TUTORIAL! Day 9 of 12 Days of Christmas!

https://youtu.be/_EWP5cN1QDw Welcome to day nine of my 12 Days of Christmas today; we have this blue spruce Co. I call this a deconstructed plaid. I did with the vinyl there. You'll see how I did that in the tutorial. It was complicated. I had to wrap my head around what I was doing to figure it out, but I love how it turned out. It's so unique and festive without being like over-the-top Christmas, and this glitter is my absolute favorite of the Christmas Glitters I have done this year is a tree farm, and this was today's Advent box number nine. You either got this, or you got the Gilded Spruce glitter is both beautiful, but this, for some reason, was my absolute favorite of the year. It's just like that minty teal green, but it's got the pop of Blues iridescent blue in there that makes it like that Christmassy Blue Spruce kind of thing I envisioned in my brain. Hopefully, you guys will like it. If you want to see this tutorial, let's get into it and make sure you come back tomorrow for day 10. So starting with this 20-ounce mug, I got these from Amazon. If they're still available, I will link them below, but they're a simple mug, so take off the lid and prep with mattify. I'm going to tape off the edges of the handle. I want to keep the handle silver. I tried to tape that we didn't get any paint going in with teal time color fix Paint doing a nice thick layer. So we can apply some glitter to the tree farm. This is my favorite glitter from the new Christmas Glitters. It is pretty; I cannot even describe how much I love it. It's like the minty green with a tiny pop of iridescent blue, and I am obsessed with full coverage with that Glitter over the whole cup. I seal that with clear spray paint we're going to go on with our first layer of epoxy. This is Artistry one-to-one fast se,t, and I did another layer after this. I'm taking this blue and green vinyl. These colors are standard in plaid and Christmas designs, and I want to use them for this Cup. I'm taking my cutter and doing skinny strips. I did four thicker strips few little smaller ones. I'm playing around and placing them where they would look suitable for our deconstructed plaid. I took all my strips, cut them in half, and laid it out again. I start on one side and work around the square, and I'm alternating blue and Green. One side will be blue-green, blue the next side will be green. Blue-green keeps working my way around like that, and every time I place a new one down, I leave a little bit of the glitter showing like a tiny sliver. This was difficult for me to put onto a cup. I had an idea for my bra, and it took a while for me to figure out how it would go. I do the three lines, and some of the lines that extend, I fold under depending on where they a. We have a crisscross pattern. Once those were all laid down, Id readjusted the ends and made sure they were all straight and stuck down. I cut off the ends with a bit of razor blade, and it took me a little while to figure out the placement, but I ended with the one in the middle a little bit longer than the other two going around and cutting all of those. I do the same thing on the side, but I'm cutting horizontally instead of Vertically. I went ahead and removed the square sticker from The Middle. I took the thinner strips and laid them inside that square. As you can see, I did two of the green, and I'm doing two blue friends cannot be, and again, with the overlapping, you can move things around and overlap here. I went through and cut those as well as those skinnier ones I left a little bit longer. I'm going to take some nail tape. This is a very gold color. It's not gold, and it's not pure silver. It was right in the middle, and I'm laying those right between the green stripes. So I went through everyone green and did the line in there, or I did all four in the middle. I put the gold to the side of it. I left those little strips longer than the others. It took a long time to get here, and I am proud of this deconstructed plaid. I didn't want that to move, so I'm going on with some quick seal to seal in this vinyl and make sure nothing lifts or moves when we go on with epoxy. I cut out some vinyl in black and this pearly white I made this little design that says Blue Spruce C.o. I thought it would be adorable. It's like a blue spruce tree but has a boutique feel; I don't know. It would be lovely to have it say Blue Spruce Co. I will link this down below for you guys. If you want to use this little SVG, I will make a file for it. Now I will use the ultimate tool from the Cami Page Boutique to put my vinyl on straight. I love this little tool. I will link it down below. It makes it easy to get your vinyl on straight it does a lot of other things to get that on there and smooth it out. After that, it was time for two more epoxy coats to finish the cup. Once that was dry, I took it off the Turner and replaced the lid, which is how it turned out. I love everything about it the tree farm glitter, The Plaid, and the blue spruce decal with the white pearl vinyl. It's pretty. I can't even get over me, and this glitter is fabulous. I hope you guys love it too. Thank you guys much for watching, and make sure you come back for day ten tomorrow Bye, guys.
