SNOWY WINTER WATERSLIDE TUMBLER TUTORIAL! Day 3 Of 12 Days of Christmas!
https://youtu.be/EY7HnQwrinY
Hey, guys welcome to day three of my 12 Days of Christmas. It is my snowy winter Scene cup. This is one that I had to throw together quickly, and I am happy with it. It is stinking cute how much does it match my background, like snowy Winter Wonderland? I love looking at the snow. It is beautiful. It is magical. It's stunning. I hate being in the cold if I can look at it, think about it have a background, then I'm all for it, but I am not. I love being in Texas, where I don't have to live in it if that makes sense, but for this, I used what was in today's Advent box, which is these Christmas cookie glitter flakes.
I don't know if you can see that on camera, but they're fun, fluffy, and sparkly in the Advent box. You either got the Christmas cookie flakes or blue Christmas Mica powder. You got one or the other, and these are both fun. They're brand new. They're both on the site now. I will link them down below the Christmas cookie flakes. It's not like the blue-greeny sparkle you see on the trees. I don't know these flakes, man they're pretty.
Let's get into the tutorial and make sure you come back tomorrow for day four of foreign Start off with this cup. The ello brand is available at Target, and I love the wooden lid. With it, such a cute cup, take off the lid and packaging, and if you haven't tried getting off stickers with the needle pen, you need to. It's fantastic prepping with mattify. Then we'll spray paint the flat white from Rust-Oleum. I got these trees from Etsy. They're like watercolor-looking trees. What I love about these is they have three different versions of each tree.
They get fade as it goes. So it will look realistic, Forest. The close-up trees are standard, and you get slightly faded as you go back. I'm taking the more faded ones, doing a line of them, and doing random, making some bigger and some smaller, which is sped up. You can see what I'm doing. Thank you for layering them on there, and then this is the second row of trees. You can see it's a little faded, but not as much as the back ones. Then this is the first layer, so they're the most saturated in foreign color.
Then I am printing that on water slide paper this is our printer. He's named sir Prince a lot, and this is a laser printer. You can get water slide paper for laser or inkjet, depending on what you have, and I wrapped it around the cup to see where I was at, and this lined up perfectly. I didn't even measure. That's something you should do when doing something like this. Just measure and ensure you're covering your cup and not overlapping too much, then get a plate of water for my water slide, dip it in there for about 15 to 20 seconds fireplace and no one cares about yesterday.
I remembered I only did one layer of spray paint on the cup because it has that design underneath. I liked that it wasn't pure white. You should see it right here like there are little variations in the color. I don't know. I wanted that it wouldn't be a pure white Background, so laying that on my cup was difficult. I have yet to do too many water slides and one that wraps around. Do you guys have any tips on water slides? Please let me know in the comments, but I did my best. I wrapped it around as much as possible, then grabbed the middle and started pulling the backing out from underneath day, and I claim.
Once I got that out, I kept moving it around, trying to get it flat. All the wrinkles are out, thank you. We gather around whenever the snow falls and it is cold outside. Once I got that all laid flat and the water out from underneath, I used a quick seal to seal that before we went to epoxy.
Then once that was dry, I went on with my first layer of epoxy. This is the Artistry one-to-one fast set foreign taking some glitter glue and a needle bottle. I am going to add some glitter flakes to the trees. This is my favorite part of this cup. I am excited that I did this. These are the Christmas cookie's glitter Flakes, and you can see that they have almost a yellow shift to them, like a yellow base of it is yellow.
I wouldn't suggest using these on white ground, but on the tree where it's green, and it has like that Bluey Shimmer shift, it is so pretty and looks like snowy trees at Christmas time. It's lovely, and I love that effect, so I needed to figure out how much to do, but once I started doing it, I went on every tree all over randomly, not covering the whole tree.
I took some mixed epoxy. I'm adding a little bit of wave white, a white pigment. I took some filters and put that in the rest. We have a little Oliver Sparkle on the rest of the cup. Then take the one with the Filter and do that all over the cup first, a nice even layer, then take the one with the waving white in there and go on the top part. I wanted this to look foggy, like a heavy fog Sky, you know what I mean, like the cloudy fogginess that comes with winter we have that going on.
I faded it down to the top of the trees, but I wanted it to look like a heavy fog. Everyone is here to celebrate. So I took an embossing gun and ran over that to blend that in a little bit. Be careful with that.
I did two more layers of epoxy over that, and it was done yesterday. Then replacing the lid means much more and looks how beautiful it turned out. I am in love with this; I will use this cup. It's simple but still pretty, and the glitter flakes in there like I can't even express how much I love how it looks. All right, that's it for this video. Thank you, guys, for watching, and come back tomorrow for day four. Bye guys.
