TREE PRINT MUG TUMBLER TUTORIAL! Day 7 of 12 Days of Christmas!
https://youtu.be/ulwPBC__fzI
Welcome to day seven of my 12 Days of Christmas. Today we have the cutest little mug. This is green and cream with Christmas trees and Merry Christmas on the bottom. It's cute and so sweet, and I love it much. It's a little cute. So let's get into the tutorial on this little guy and make sure you come back for day eight tomorrow.
All right, starting with this hydro flow Parker little mug. I got this from Ross for $7.99, I can find this brand at many stores, and I love the quality of these mugs. Taking off the packaging and prepping with mattify, we'll spray-paint this heirloom white from Rust-Oleum. I did not get this in the shot very well, but it was all over spray paint.
Once that was dry, I went on with the first layer of epoxy, the Artistry one-to-one fast set. I pay a lot of attention and spend a lot of time on the handles whenever I'm doing mugs. You don't want any epoxy clumping up or hanging on to one of the sides, so be careful of that we're taking this ultimate tool from Cami Page Boutique to get a straight line on our cup it has a little pen tool you just put your pen in slide it on.
You tighten it where you want it, and you can go around and make a straight line on your cup. But, first, I had to prop it up. Some coasters arresters underneath, so I made it work, then moved itop for the upper line and lifted it. But this tool is fantastic. It's great for making straight lines like this. You can do vertical lines. You can line up your decals. There are many things it's suitable for, and I use it all the time.
For you guys, I will have it linked below, but it simplifies life. I'm taking some tape and lining off that section on which we drew a line. You don't have to use a permanent marker as I did. You could use a removable feature, pencil, or whatever you want to draw the line. That's what I had handy, so that's what I used.
And doing the tape around the handles is very difficult it takes a lot more time than doing a straight cup but get it as straightforward as you can. I'm going in with Hunter color-flex paint. This is a color coming soon. We will cover this in the paint and get excellent full coverage. Can you feel it there? I peel off the tape when it's still wet. That way, I don't have to worry about,t it, like peeling off a chunk of where I want it to stay.
I love the green in the following two bundles; I have several greens. Having a lot of greens was important because I had my first collection. So you'll see some greens, and it's still hard to pick. I want more greens, so we're doing the same thing on the bottom, like that inner kind inset. So we're doing the whole thing green.
I'm taking some alcohol and just cleaning up. I went outside the line. If you do that, use alcohol to clean it off me, do a second layer on the bottom once I am dry, going on with another layer of epoxy. I'm cutting out these little trees. I will have this linked down below for you. It's these little tiny trees. I thought it was cute and cut them out in this pearlescent-like beige pearl vinyl. It's pretty.
I meant to pull the little trees and the top on the transfer paper, and I was going to peel off the top it didn't work that way. Sometimes it works when you have a smaller design. So I ended up peeling off the top and going on with more transfer tape taking that off-see.
I'm using the tool again to mark my straight line and my vertical line that way, I can line up the transfer tape on that line and make sure it's perfectly straight so that when I wrap my trees around the cup, it is nice and straight in between that green section and I don't have to worry about it angling one way or another wrapping the trees around.
We will use this tool to ensure they're stuck on their peeling off the transfer tape. I had a few that did not come off on the transfer tape. I'm hand-placing them together, but how cute are these little trees? I love them. I love that it's just staggered in this little pattern cute. I cut out a little Merry Christmas decal. I got this from Etsy. I will link it below as well. We'll put that on the bottom, centering it in the green circle stories.
I did one more layer of epoxy to finish off this mug. It was done. I took it off the Turner and replaced the lid, which is what it turned out like. It's cute. I love this green shade, I love the little trees, I just love everything about it, and I love the little Merry Christmas at the bottom. That's it for this video. Guys, thank you much for watching and making sure you come back for day eight tomorrow bye, guys.
